One in three thousand people are living with neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that can cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF can lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, cancer, deafness, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and disabling pain. Currently there is no cure and no effective treatments for NF, but we’re walking to change that.
In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Nadia reflects on the changes in her life since she first began playing Chloe in 1999, including the birth of her son, Torin, on May 4.
“It’s been incredibly humbling. Before becoming a mom, when people talked about the first few months being hard, I’d just brush it off and think, ‘Oh, it will be fine. As an actor we have crazy hours and sometimes we don’t sleep or we have to be up in the middle of the night.’ This isn’t like any of that. It’s just really hard…. It’s also incredible and rewarding.”
Nadia stars in I Know Where Lizzie Is along with Tracey Gold, Richard Ruccolo, Vanessa Evigan, Scott Evans, Robert Scott Wilson, Madison Iseman, Andrea Evans, and Jim O’Heir.
The crime thriller is directed by Darin Scott and written by Kendall Clark. I Know Where Lizzie Is traces a divorced couple’s relentless pursuit to find their missing daughter with the help of a psychic who claims to know her whereabouts.
The film premieres on the Lifetime Movie Network on Sunday, July 31 at 8/7C. Check your local listings.
